I'm on my third day of playing and I'm hooked. What I find interesting is the amount of Twitter accounts created and used specifically for this game. I've come across at least 5 so far.

It's a really fun game. I'm interested to see how social media continues to change the way we play.

Good post, stumbled upon on Twitter (where else), but while #Spymaster is interesting/fun (and who doesn't like a woman with an AK) blip on the radar can't help thinking, that like Twitter some services, its a bit of a side show, a small stall at the carnival even, and not really what Twitter is about. That or it just doesn't float my boat. No plans to sign up for my licence to kill, but at least now i know what I'm missing.

Marc - thanks for your comment. Perhaps the lack of emphasis in the documentation about coordination between players was deliberate (in order for players to discover it in their own right as 'emergent behaviour'), or an oversight. Certainly this is what the beta process is about, ironing out the details!

As to the lack of a backend, I see Twitter itself as being the communicational backend to the game. This is smart because you get a whole lot of savvy and a large pre-existing user base right off the bat. Of course, by using a service that other people use, you risk pissing off bystanders who have no interest in the game.

If you're interested in more gaming stuff, I know the field pretty well, you can reach me @KickThousand.
